Abel Coffin Jr. The husband of Simon Wiess' oldest child, Pauline
Wiess, was born in 1826 in Pennsylvania. He married first
Belinda Bartlett Brown in 1851 in Orange, Texas. He second
married Pauline "Sissy" Wiess on October 14, 1858. Mr.
Coffin died at Wiess' Bluff in Jasper county, Texas in 1866 at 40
years of age and is buried at the Wiess family cemetery there.
