    Notes 
    • He was an attorney, coal operator and legislator in Middlesboro, KY and served as Kentucky state senator and speaker of the House of Representatives. He was known as the author of a Kentucky Modern Good Roads movement beginning about 1904 and resulting in "The Bosworth and Wyatt Good Roads Constitutional Amendment" which permitted the state of Kentucky to lend funds and credit to aide counties and road districts in building permanent highways.  The Kencutky Department of Good Roads and the office of state road commissioner was instituted from this in 1912. In 1909 he was elected the first president of the Kentucky Good Roads Association and was known as the "Father of Good Roads" in Kentucky. He served as general manager and director of the Yellow Creek Coal Company and as vice president and director of the Mingo Coal and Coke Company of Middlesborough. He also served as president of the Appalachian Indemnity Insurance Company of Louisville, KY.
