Notes |
Hannah Davies was probably born in what is now Loudon Co, VA and moved with her family to Orange Co. NC. Abt 1768 she married outside the Friends MM, perhaps due to difficulties her father was having with Cane Creek MM. About 1799 the family, or at least Hugh, moved to Ohio. Hugh died shortly after making the journey. His will was written in 1799 before his departure and proved in Chatham Co, NC in 1801. After his death Hannah apparently made her home with her son Jeremiah. They belonged to Fairfield MM. In 1818 the removed to Wayne Co, IN where Hannah died at age 75 having been a widow for 28 yrs. She was buried in Whitewater Cemetery.
