  Notes	Based on the research of Willie H. Boyd, Clarence Hilliard Boyd was born in June 1890. He was a small farmer, then a storeowner and finally a preacher. He was a very successful Methodist preacher and obtained the position of presiding Elder of the Tuskegee and Union Springs district of AME Zion churches. He married Clorianna Taylor on December 9, 1912 in Cotton Valley, Alabama by Rev. J. O. Peters (see Colored Marriage Book #4, Item #475, Probate Court, Tuskegee, Alabama).
