      Sarah was born in SC around 1790. Her husband is unknown. She was living in Houston Co. GA in 1840. Her household included 3 males under 5, 1 male between 10-15, 1 male between 20-30, 2 females between 15-20 and herself. Her daughter Elizabeth, (Betsy) Cloud married Malachi Shelly on Sept. 15, 1835 Betsy was born in SC around 1806. Malachi was born in SC on March 4, 1804. Malachi and family along with Sarah Cloud and family moved to Henry Co. AL prior to 1855 and settled around Tolbert Church area. Both Malachi and Betsy are buried there.
      In the Houston Co. 1850 census Sarah shows up as 60 yrs. old with John 23 and Catherine 25 and Lucinda(?) 23.
      Sarah is 70 years old in the 1860 Henry Co. census with the following in her household. Henry, 45, farmer and Catherine, 21(?).
      Henry deeded the land for the Tolbert Church which had been established in 1855. It is said when the WAR started the Clouds moved back to GA to look after their holdings there. I always thought they moved back to Houston Co. but several Shelley kin moved to Pavo GA. after the WAR and settled on land owned by the Clouds (it is supposed). They are buried in the Pavo cemetery.
