    Notes 
    • Father willed him one shilling.In his father's will "Joseph came over as a servant to John Bezer and received his 50 acres of land in Caln township, where he was living in 1709".  John Bezer was a Master of Bishop Cannings, Wiltshire, and was travelling with his wife Susanna and children John, Richard, Susanna, Elizabeth and Frances.  They sailed out of Bristol, Eng. in Oct 1681, fully a year before his father left, and arrived in Upland, later called Chester.  (William Penn arrived on The Welcome in August of 1682 and Joseph's father, William Cloude, and brothers William, Jeremaih and Robert arrived on The Unicorne in December of 1682.

      To son Joseph one bond of 10 due from him to me. To daughter Mary
      Kerlin 1 shillings. To daughter Anne Vernon 1 shilling. To wife Mary 2 per annum to be paid by son Joseph and other provision for life.
      Executrix: wife Mary.
      Witnesses: Jeremiah Cloud, Richard Rundels.
          Joseph and Mary may have been married in England, more likely in Pennsylvania. See dau. Ann's notes.
          Marriage Records 1560-1900: US/International. Family Tree Maker CD # 403. Four submissions show a Joseph Cloud, born 1651, married a Mary Green in 1698 born in England. One showed he married a Mary Moore (all dates same).
