    • Edward Waters (Immigrant) had  a brother named John Waters of Middleham, Yorkshire, England.  Edward came to Virginia Colony on ship "Patience" in 1608 as appears on Hotten's list of emigrants.

He came to Virginia the first time in 1608, 1609 and again in 1618.  He was appointed by Governor Moore a member of the Governor's Council to rule the Bermudas during his absence.  Descended from King Edward III, King Richard II and other crowned heads of England.
          In the Indian massacre of 1622, Edward Waters, his wife and infant son, William, were captured by the Nansemond Indians and held prisoners for more than a year.
