The 1910 Texas Soundex then shows Jack, age 10 years, but there is no record of Richard. I wonder if Jack could have been a twin? But if he was, why was he not listed on the 1900 Soundex? The best guess I have heard so far is that "Richard" was recorded in 1900 because the census worker got Jack's name wrong. This is one of those little mysteries. (jgh)
