    • Chester, Earl of:  Ranulf (Randulf) de Blundevil, son of Hugh of Cyveiliog (Kevilioc of Chester).  English feudal leader.  Married the widow of King Henry's son (??); led the English armies in wars against the Welsh from 1210;  sided with King John, then with King Henry III against the French invasion.
          Went on crusade to the Holy Land (1218); took part in the capture of Damietta (1219).  Was linked with Robin Hood (Robert of Huntington) in "Vision of Piers Plowman"  Robert of Hungtingdon, aka Robin Hood, was Ranulf's nephew.
