A woman died this afternoon after she was shot in Bastrop, police there said.
About 3:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting at a home in the 400 block of Juniper Street, police spokesperson Michal Hubbard. Police found the woman, identified as Myra Beggs, and a critically injured man, who was also shot, when they arrived. The man was identified as her husband, Terry Beggs, 57, according to the Bastrop Advertiser.
