      W.F. CLOUD DIES AT THE AGE OF 84
      Passed Away at His Home in the Chula Community Early Today.
      W.F. Cloud, long-time resident of the Chula community, passed away at his home in that town this morning at 3 o'clock following an illness of three weeks that was caused by his age.  He was 84 years old.
      Funeral services have been arranged for Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Chula Methodist Church, of which he was a member, to be conducted by Mrs. Frank C. Fay, pastor.  Burial will follow in Mount Olive cemetery.
      Born in Illinois on July 10, 1855, W.F. Cloud came to a farm near Chula when just a young man.  He farmed on various places east of Chula, in Linn and Livingston counties, until seven years ago when his age and health forced his retirement and he and Mrs. Cloud went to make their home in Chula.
      Mrs. Cloud was the former Miss Mary Sampson and she and Mr. Cloud celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary last March 4.  Surviving are six of the seven children including: Mrs. Thomas E. England of Kansas City; Mrs. George Chapman of Vermillion, Kansas; Mrs. A.J. Sargent of Meadville; Ira Cloud of Chula; Ray Cloud of Linneus and Mrs. H.P. Tharp of Chula.  One son preceded his father in death.  There are also left several grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Nannie Birkett of Chula.
