    • Obituary:
Juliette “Judy” L. (McCall) Dick, 101, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at North Fort Meyers, Fla. Graveside services were held Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Perkins Cemetery, Perkins, Okla. with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
Judy was born on October 12, 1905 in Bella, Pa. to Gibson Joshua McCall and Nannie Mae Cloud. She married Russell John Dick in 1925 in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Judy was raised in Perkins and graduated from Perkins High School. Then she moved to Kansas City with her uncle Dr. Hoarse McCall. She worked in a hospital there and that is where she met her husband Russell who was an accomplished T.W.A. pilot and later became an overseas pilot. Judy traveled with him a lot but when she was home she became a real estate broker. She owned a beauty salon for many years. They also lived in New York for several years; she sold real estate there also.
Judy was a trailblazer with her love for good health; she became an accomplished health enthusiast. She made claims more than 50 years age that she followed religiously. Everything she claimed has been proven by scientists and most of it recently. She never ate junk food or fried foods and would not eat margarine only butter. These were just a few of her claims and habits.
Judy lived in Perkins off and on through the years caring for ailing family members. When Russell retired they moved to Perkins again for several years before moving to Cape Coral, Fla.
Their farm was south of Perkins on the river, and is now under water. After Judy and Russell were married in 1925 they flew to Perkins in a private plane and landed down on the farm where they stayed for a few days. When they got ready to leave they thought the gas must not have been just right because when they took off they did not get the expected results and the plane landed on the roof of the barn and the joining mulberry tree. The family went running down there and Judy was in the mulberry tree eating mulberries. This became a family story that was enjoyed by all with laughter.
Judy and Russell lived very eventful lives and were kind and caring and loved by all who knew them. Judy was dearly loved and will be missed very much.
She was a member of Perkins First Christian Church.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Roy McCall, five sisters, Florence Young, Alberta Staley, Gwendolyn Sibert, Roberta Looper, and Angela.
She is survived by one brother, Jay McCall of Ventura, Calif. She is also survived by Richard Lee Cloud of Mustang, Okla., Thresa Lee Walton of Mustang, Okla., Donna Rae Graefe of Crowley, Texas, Jason Don Coe of Perkins, Okla. and other extended family.
