    Notes 
    • Henry  Tollett was in the War of 1812. His widow, Eliza, applied for a pension. In 1878 she signed an affidavit attesting to her marriage to Henry Tollett. [See Document 6-3.].
      The pension file reads as follows:
      TOLLETT , HENRY - War of 1812 pension application S.O.#16234, S.C.#17340, W.O.#13118, W.C.#10330. B.L.W.#43515-80-50. Service as an ensign in Captain Miles  Vernon's Company of Tennessee Militia from 13 November 1814 to 13 May 1815. He enlisted at Pikeville, Rhea County, Tennessee. He married Eliza  Brown 15 January 1819 in Bledsoe County, Tenn. Bounty Land application dated 2 March 1852, Washington County, Arkansas, Henry Tollett 's age about 56. Miles  Vernon, of Laclede County, Missouri, affirmed the claim for bounty land. Henry Tollett died 13 August 1871 in Washington County, Ark., and Eliza  Tollett applied for pension. She died 15 October 1885; the family data contained in this file; Eliza E.  Easley, age 44 in 1887, granddaughter of Eliza  Tollett; Mrs. James  Morton, daughter of Eliza  Tollett. Henrietta  Barringer stated that her husband was grandson of Eliza Tollett
