- Obituary:
David Lee cloud, 60, Dadeville, Mo., passed away at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2006, in Cox Medical Center South, after a courageous battle with cancer. David was born December 2, 1945, in Springfield, to Ned and Hazel Cloud.
David and his family owned the Cloud Packing Company. He currently worked for the Missouri Conservation Department at Stockton Lake as a creel checker, which allowed him to be closer to his hobbies, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a member of Seybert Christian Church, Stockton Lake. He attended Wentworth Military Academy as a young man.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ned and Hazel Cloud; one brother, Buddy Cloud; and one sister, LaRue Turber.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Kaye Cloud, Dadeville, Mo.; two daughters, Chrisie L. Cloud, Dallas, Texas, and Natalie J. Miller and her husband, Mark R. Miller, Nixa, Mo.; four grandchildren, Cain Cloud-Templeton, Dallas, Texas, and Logan, Landrey and Brandt David Miller, Nixa, Mo.; one sister, Patti and husband, David Barrett, Springfield; one brother, Danny and wife, Judy Cloud, Springfield; nieces, nephews, many, MANY friends and his beloved dogs.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, with Chaplain Larry Cooper officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102; or the Humane Society, 3161 W. Norton Road, Springfield, MO 65803. His kind heart and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all.
