Other stories about Emily's ancestry are that she was the "love child" of Nito Waoka, a Choctaw signer of the "Dancing Rabbit Creek" treaty, 1830 Mississippi,; or that Waoko gave Emily to the Whittingtons for adoption before his 1830 exile; or that Waoko traded Emily to Harmon Guynes for a bag of corn at age 14.
