The Macon County Citizen Newspaper is 38 years old and a copy dated MAY 27, 1891 was recently brought to the Citizen Office by Mrs. R. A. Coogle. The paper was addressed to Mr. T. H. Morgan, Jr., Mrs. Coogle's father.
The Death of J. T. COOGLE, the father of D. P. Coogle and J. J. Coogle was listed in that issue.
[Note: John Thomas Coogle - Born May 24, 1817 - Died May 24, 1891 CSA-MASON Co. C. 12th Ga. Inf. is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery beside his wife, Harriet Rebecca [Kleckley] Coogle [Sept.16, 1824 - Sept.20, 1883]
