DEATH OF MISS LULA BRIDGES - Miss Lula Bridges, who formerly lived here, died at Milledgeville Monday. She had been there only a short while. Her health had not been good for some time, but her death at this time was rather unexpected. She has many friends here who mourn her departure.
Her remains were interred at Shellman Tuesday. She is survived by several brothers and sisters, among them, Mr. R. L. Bridges of this place.

[Note: In 1870 Macon Co., Ga. census I find: John Bridges 41 with wife, Martha 35, & 7 children: Articia R. 11, TALLULAH A. 9, Thomas E. 8, Mary D. 5, Robert L. 4, Sarah 3 and William 4 mo.]
